Here we are, back at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth, and I'm super excited to see Electric Six. They are a band I had always wanted to see but just never got round to it, and I was even more excited because I would be returning to a venue that I know has good accessibility.

Booking tickets for this event was very simple, as I knew they'd have my information on file, as this was the venue where I registered previously. So I booked my ticket, contacted the lovely Becky, the same lady as before, and she quickly sorted me out with a companion ticket for my friend.

The night of the concert came around, and although I had been to this venue before, things would be a little bit different this evening. This event wasn't sold out; I'd say it was about 2/3 full, and because of this, they had closed the balcony off, which is where the accessibility seating area usually is. Because the upstairs was closed off, the new accessible seating area was downstairs to the left of the stage where the wheelchair accessible area is. There were only about 3 pairs of us using it, so there was plenty of room, and even if there had been more, I still think there would've been lots of room, as it's a very spacious area. You can see just how much free space there was around us in this selfie I took. There was also no specific layout of chairs, so we were free to move our seats around wherever we liked within that roped-off area. This area would also give us a much better view of the stage.

When it came time to leave, once again the lovely staff of the O2 Academy Bournemouth had no problem with us waiting around until most people had filtered out so that we could avoid the crowds.

Once again, overall, I would recommend visiting the O2 Academy Bournemouth, the accessibility seating is fantastic, and the staff and security are always so kind and helpful.
